Heartfelt Creations Quick Card

Hello and welcome here.  As luck would have it I totally forgot about getting my cards done for this week's different Design Teams, and here I thought I had gotten myself ahead of the game when I left on vacation, lol.  So I needed a quick and easy card for this week's Heartfelt Creations post, I was able to put one together quickly because of their amazing patterned paper!!  Check it out.

Card Size:  4.25" x 7.75"
I used paper from the Posy Patch Collection and made sure to include all the flowers and flourish when I cut it for my card front.  I added a black CS mat to make the butterfly pop.  I was tempted to cut the butterfly out of my 2nd sheet of paper and attach it with foam squares to give it some dimension but I ended up making 2 cards instead, so I used a Copic W3 & W5 to create a shadow.  I used the sentiment from the Botanical Oval stamp set.

I used Copic W3 and W5 to create a shadow for a dimensional look.

Recipe:  HC PP-Posy Patch Collection, HC SS-Botanical Oval Set, Bazzill Black CS, CTMH White CS, CTMH Black Ink, Copic Markers, Black Pearls.

Isn't it nice to just let the paper do the work? This is lovely and anyone would love to receive it!

It is gorgeous! I love seeing that we can do simple projects along with the more challenging ones. And you are right...what could you have added to this paper to make it any prettier?

Just wanted to leave a note thanking you for the idea to do some fussy cutting along the edge of your designer paper. I never would have thought to do this. I probably would have fussy cut another image...thanks for this idea!
