How I Store My Spellbinders/Dies

Hello and welcome here!  I thought I would share how I store my Spellbinders, Memory Box etc. dies.

I was able to get someone at work to cut me a few sheets of aluminum 8.5" x 22".  I found magnet sheets (with adhesive already on the back) at Walmart, 2 came in a pack and each is 8.5" x 11".  I initially came up with the idea to use an aluminum sheet when I wondered what I could use to attach the magnet sheets to and initally I thought of a cookie sheet.  Then the idea hit me that it was a shame to cut the magnet sheet down to fit the cookie sheet, where could I possibly find aluminum to cut to the size I wanted?  Bingo, we have a Metals Lab at work!

Then I wondered how I was going to carry them.  Hello Pinterest!  I saw a post on making a duct tape purse, so I just made a longer one to fit my sheets, and used a piece of tarp for the inside instead of cloth.  I also needed to add stronger handles because it's amazing how heavy magnet sheets can be.

I added a thin piece of paper over the magnet leaving a small border so that the paper wouldn't catch and rip and so that the dies would show up better, and I also write what it's called beside each set.

I organize my dies mainly by shape...all the circles are on one sheet, the elegant dies are on another, Memory Box are on a couple etc.

Hi, my name is Deneen...it all started when I wanted a way to cut out circles without using scissors, lol.

It's a little blurry, but in the photo below I have written on the paper what each one is.  I also write it on the back of each die...yep, you read right, each die.   It's the only way I can remember what they are so that I can write it down in my posts.

The sheets lean up against my hope chest, right beside my work space.

Then when I need a die, I just flip through them until I find the one I want.  I pull the sheet out and place it at the front of the pile, then when I'm done, I just stick the die back it in it's spot.  No containers or packages to fiddle with.

Here's my duct tape carrying case.

Here's what they look like inside the case.

Well, I hope you enjoyed seeing how I organize and store my dies!!

Inspired Stamps Summer Card with 2x2 Scripture

Hello and welcome here!  By this time next week my kids will be done school until September...and that means I'm off work for 2 months!!  This week the Inspired Stamps DT are sharing summery projects made using a 2x2 Scripture stamp.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"

I used Psalm 92:4 and added His Little Ones:  Summer Boy.  To make the sunburst I cut my cardstock and patterned paper (Bazzill 6x6 Vintage Lace) to the size I want for the card front, and while holding both together I cut the sunbeams.  This way the cut lines match up.  And because of doing it this way, I end up with 2 card fronts!!  So I also made a summery card using a girl.

Inside:
For the inside of my card I restamped HLO: Summer Boy and used a sentiment from 1" Circle Sentiments.

Copics Used:
Skin - E0000, E000, E00
Eyes - G07
Hair - E07, E17, E18, E19, E29
Swimsuit - B16, B18

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps SS-HLO:  Summer Boy, Psalm 92:4 & 1" Circle Sentiments, Bazzill 6x6 Vintage Lace, Bazzill CS-yellow & blue, CTMH White Daisy CS, Memory Box Big Splash Die, Foam Squares, CTMH Ink-Black & Spring Iris, Copic Markers.

Here is the second card I made using the 'leftovers' from the first card.  I decided to use a girl this time - His Little Ones: Sundress Girl - and realized when I was almost done that she's not wearing a bathing suit so I couldn't put her in the waves like the boy.  To fix that I just cut the waves shorter so it looks like shes standing on the beach.  I used Psalm 103:1 for the card front.

Inside:
I used the sentiment from Spring Sketches for the inside of my card.

Sundress Girl is wearing shoes and I chose to have her wear sandals by adding some toes!!
Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, YR00, R20
Eyes - YG67
Hair - E13, E17, E19, E79
Dress - R81, R83

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps SS-HLO:  Sundress Girl, Psalm 103:1 & Spring Sketches, Bazzill 6x6 Vintage Lace, Bazzill CS-yellow & blue, CTMH White Daisy CS, Memory Box Big Splash Die, Foam Squares,
CTMH Ink-Black & Spring Iris, Copic Markers, Fine Tip Black Felt Pen.

Inspired Stamps June New Release

Hello and welcome here!  It's time for another Inspired Stamps New Release!!  Today I tried my hand at making a basic Stair Step Card.  I thought it was a nice way to show off the newly released Hymn Girls:  Summer Flip Flops and the verse Micah 6:8.
