Heartfelt Creations Watering Cans

Hello and welcome here!  I hope you're having a great week, if not I hope the rest of your week goes better!  It's time for some Heartfelt Creations inspiration.  This week I made some Watering Cans.

Size:  ~4" x ~5.5"
I found the template and instructions for the Watering Cans HERE.  I printed the Template onto white CS and cut it out, and I used that as a template for making my Watering Cans especially because I used different colours to make the final project.

I used pattern paper from the Burst of Splendor collection and the vine die from Decorative Chateau Gate.

Recipe:  HC PP-Burst of Splendor Paper Collection, HC Die-Decorative Chateau Gate, Bazzill mauve CS, CTMH White Daisy CS, Black Felt Pen.

I used the pretty patterned paper from the Daphne Paper collection, the eyelet edge is from the Gift Ensemble Die, and I used the flowers and motif from the Layered Scallop Posy Die collection.

I cut the handle a bit narrower than the template so that the flowers made a pretty edge. I love that the patterned paper is double sided so that the inside is just as pretty as the outside of the Watering Can.

Recipe:  HC PP-Daphne Paper Collection, HC Die-Gift Ensemble & Layered Scalloped Posy, Bazzill Prismatics CS-Herbal Garden Med., Black Felt Pen, Pearls.

I wanted to do one Watering Can with a bouquet of flowers in the top and then realized that they would be too big so I decided to make 1 bigger flower instead.  For the Watering Can I used the Daphne Paper Collection, and for the flower I used the Posy Patch Collection.

I love that Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies work together.  I stamped a bunch of flowers using Open Vintage Floret stamp set and then die cut them using the Vintage Floret die...easy-peasy as my kids would say:)

I also used the Paper Blossoms Molding Mat and Tool Kit to shape the petals...I used to use my fingers, but I must say I don't know how I lived without these 2 tools for shaping my flowers.

Recipe:  HC PP-Daphne & Posy Patch, HC SS-Open Vintage Floret & Open Leaf, HC Dies-Vintage Floret & Classic Leaf, Spellbinders-Decorative Labels 8, Marvelous Squares, Paper Blossoms Molding Mat and Tool Kit, Bazzill Prismatics CS-Herbal Garden Med., CTMH White Daisy CS, CTMH New England Ivy Ink, Memento London Fog Ink, Black Felt Pen, Crystal Ice Stickles.

Heartfelt Creations Quick Card

Hello and welcome here.  As luck would have it I totally forgot about getting my cards done for this week's different Design Teams, and here I thought I had gotten myself ahead of the game when I left on vacation, lol.  So I needed a quick and easy card for this week's Heartfelt Creations post, I was able to put one together quickly because of their amazing patterned paper!!  Check it out.

Card Size:  4.25" x 7.75"
I used paper from the Posy Patch Collection and made sure to include all the flowers and flourish when I cut it for my card front.  I added a black CS mat to make the butterfly pop.  I was tempted to cut the butterfly out of my 2nd sheet of paper and attach it with foam squares to give it some dimension but I ended up making 2 cards instead, so I used a Copic W3 & W5 to create a shadow.  I used the sentiment from the Botanical Oval stamp set.

I used Copic W3 and W5 to create a shadow for a dimensional look.

Recipe:  HC PP-Posy Patch Collection, HC SS-Botanical Oval Set, Bazzill Black CS, CTMH White CS, CTMH Black Ink, Copic Markers, Black Pearls.

Heartfelt Creations Dahlia Bouquet Card

Hello and welcome here!  I'm away on holidays this week so this post was typed up last week, hopefully all goes well and you are reading it on Wed. July 17th.  It's time again for more Heartfelt Creations inspiration and this week I'm sharing one of July's New Release stamp sets called Dahlia Bouquet.

Card Size:  5" x 7"
I stamped the image onto white CS and then cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 8, taking care not to cut off the leaves.  I then coloured in the image using Copic Markers.  I had my paper chosen before I started so I knew what colours to go with.  (Sometimes I do it the other way around, colour and then choose my papers to match.)  I used paper from the Posy Patch Paper Collection.

I've started taking pictures of my cards at an angle, just for another view of it. For the frame around the image/sentiment, I wanted to use Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 but it was too small, so I thought I had this brilliant idea to cut 1 into 4 pieces and just use them to mat the corners...I wasn't happy enough with the result and ended up cutting out 2 Decorative Labels 8, and fussy cutting corners and pieces to make a frame.  Yes, it was a bit time consuming, but I'm much happier with the end result the second time around.

Inside:
For the inside of my card I used one of the sentiments that come with the Posy Patch papers, I then used my Copics - B52, BG11, BG90, YR30 & Y21 - to add a touch of colour so that the flowers would match the ones on the outside of my card.

Copics Used:
Teal Flowers - B52, BG11, BG75, Y21
Cream Flowers - Y21, Y26, YR30, YR23
Greenery - YG91, YG93, YG99
Background - YR30, Y32
Outline - W3

Recipe:  HC SS-Dahlia Bouquet & Heartfelt Expressions, HC PP-Posy Patch Paper Collection, HC Die-Decorative Blossom Corner, CTMH White Daisy CS, Bazzill Mono light & dark teal CS, Memento Black Ink, Foam Squares, Spellbinders-Decorative Labels 8 & Labels 8, Black CS to mat the sentiment inside.

I had lots of fun with this card.  It's difficult to see but the clouds are cut out of the patterened paper to reveal the white CS behind.  Since this is a Cuttlebug challenge I chose to die cut the hills using Spellbinders Petite Ovals.
 Inside:
I had planned to use the cloud I cut from the outside inside my card, but I totally forgot and ended up stamping one instead.

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
I chose to go with an (almost) CAS card this week, sometimes less is more.  The stamp is from the Inspired Stamps set called Inspired Stampers Favorite Collection #2, it fits beautifully within the frame made by the embossing folder.

Inside:
For the inside of the card the sentiment is from the same set I used on the front of the card, and the flower is from Inspired Stamps Flowers set.

Recipe:  Inspired Stamps SS-Inspired Stampers Favorite Collection #2 & Flowers, Bazzill CS- Mono Lakeshore & Prismatics Herbal Garden Medium, CTMH CS-White Daisy, CTMH Ink-Black & Baby Pink, Sizzix Loving Thoughts EF, I Am Roses S10 Flowers, Martha Stewart Frond Punch.

Heartfelt Creations Burst of Splendor New Release

Hello and welcome here!  It's the July New Release over on Heartfelt Creations and it's called Burst of Splendor.  Oh my!! It's is a gorgeous release of stamps, dies and paper to see the full release you can click on the Products link at the top of the HC home page, and then choose New Release from the left-side menu.  I have 2 cards to share with you today using Burst of Splendor!

Card Size:  5" x 5"
I used the gorgeous Blooming Dahlia stamp set, and paper from the Burst of Splendor Collection.  I used Spellbinders Adorning Squares to mat my flower.  I stamped the dahlia 3 times and fussy cut around the middle petals, and around some of the outer petals so that I could layer them for a 3D effect...you can see a better photo of this effect further down.

For the greenery I stamped a couple of different leaf bunches using the Open Leaf & Classic Leaf stamp sets, I then cut them out quickly and easily using the Classic Leaf Die.

Here'a a view of the 3 layers.  After I assembled the layers with foam squares I turned up the tips of the petals a bit.

Inside:

Copics Used:
Petals - V91, V93, V95, V99
Greenery - YG61, YG63, YG67

Recipe:  HC PP-Burst of Splendor Collection, HC SS-Classic Leaf PreCut Set, Open Leaf PreCut Set & Blooming Dahlia PreCut Set, HC Die-Classic Leaf, Spellbinders-Adorning Squares, Bazzill mauve CS, CTMH White Daisy CS, Foam Squares, Pearls, Celebrate It 7/8" White Satin Ribbon, Copic Markers, Memento Black Ink, (inside:  CTMH Petal Ink, HC Heartfelt Expressions PreCut Set)

 Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
For my second card I used the pattern on the paper to make my card and then added a stamped and coloured Dahlia (which I fussy cut) for a bit of 'pop'.  I finished it off by adding some Liquid Pearls for texture.  I thought about adding a ribbon but in the end decided it would take away from the beautiful image of the gate and flowers.  I stamped the sentiment using HC Heartfelt Expressions stamp set.

Inside:

Copics Used:
Petals - RV91, RV93, RV95
Greenery - YG61, YG63, YG67

Recipe:  HC PP-Burst of Splendor Collection, HC SS-Dahlia Cluster PreCut Set & Open Leaf PreCut Set, HC Die-Classic Leaf Die, Bazzill Mono Ivy CS, Black CS, CTMH Black Ink, Copic Markers, CTMH White Daisy CS, Foam Squares, Liquid Pearls-White Opal. Heartfelt Creations Fancy Teacup Card

Hello and welcome here!  It's time for some more Heartfelt Creations inspiration. This week I've created a fairly simple card, it's the dies that dress it up and make it look more fancy.

Card Size:  5" x 7"
For some reason I wasn't able to photograph the purple quite right, but trust me, it's a very pretty purple.  I used a piece of patterned paper from the Posy Patch Collection.  I inked the edges of the patterned pieces.  I then used Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4 for the main part of the card.  Heartfelt Creations has a stamp called China Fragments PreCut Set and it matches the Spellbinders Nested Tea Cups perfectly.

Inside:
For the inside I used the corner from the Decorative Blossom Corner, and the same patterned paper as on the card front.

Recipe: HC PP-Posy Patch Collection, HC SS-China Fragments & Heartfelt Expressions, HC Dies-Decorative Blossom Corner, Spellbinders-Nested Tea Cups, Elegant Labels 4 & Labels 4, CTMH White Daisy CS, CTMH Ink-Pansy Purple & Black, Foam Squares, Pearls, Celebrate It 5/8" White Satin Edge Ribbon, Copics-R000, G40, V91, YR30, W0.

For more Heartfelt Creations inspiration be sure to pop by their site, or click on the DT links in my sidebar...their are some amazing creations you don't want to miss seeing.

Don't forget that next week is the July New Release Burst of Splendor!

Hello and welcome here!  We celebrated Canada Day here yesterday and boy was it a scorcher, but at least it didn't rain and we sure enjoyed the fireworks!!  This week at Cuttlebug Mania the Challenge is called What's In A Name?  All you need to do is use something on your creation that starts with the letter of your first name.  My name is Deneen, so I could use dots, doilies, doughnuts, dies, Dew Drops, dark pink paper...we're pretty flexible so use your imagination.

Challenge - What's In A Name
Use something that begins with the letter of your name.

I just recently picked up the Spellbinders Border Sets - Scalloped, Wavy & Bracket, so of course I have to use them:)  I love the different options available with them.  My card is straight forward, I kept it fairly simple so that it wouldn't overpower the pretty dress.  After I cut out the Opulent Oval I embossed the next smaller one onto it, it adds interest without drawing your eye to it.  I embossed the bottom portion of the card with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Inside:
